The bowls are interchangable and fit into a cutout in the board so they stay in place during use.

Made of solid Oregon red alder.
Dipped in pure mineral oil. Hand wash only with warm soapy water and dry immediatley and leave standing up to dry. Wipe with mineral oil from your local grocery store when the board begins to look dry.
